Scion xB body kits can be a hard lot to choose from, and a hard decision to make. It is my opinion that the first generation can go either way, the factory styling is a statement in itself, and it can take very little kit modification to stream line. While the second generation almost finds it necessary to have one installed for the same effect.

  • When scion first leaked photos of the second gen xB, they indeed had it dressed in a body kit.
  • Notice they did not find this necessary with the first gen.
  • I can not tell anyone how to style their vehicle, and you will not find a definitive answer here.
  • However, they have been widely installed and there are galleries of pictures to showcase each, in almost every color scheme.

When worrying about quality and fitment vs. your personal budget I can give you some things to think about. Kits are made by both high end and mass production style manufacturers. The high end kit will be a direct fit, and require very little modification for fitment. While the mass produced versions may require a lot more. The decision becomes, while considering each, is the money you're saving or spending worth the out come. Well, if money is not an obstacle, of course the high end is the way to go, but I do not believe that one must hold out for a bigger budget just to do so. The price difference can be huge for similar styles, depending on who made it. So, in the interest of saving a buck, it probably isn't a bad idea to get the cheaper and dedicated just a little more time into the fitment. If you do truly attempt to make the fitment perfect, after the paint is on, no one but you will know the difference.
